Stock the Bar

If you have recently purchased a new home, or are considering it, you might want to take this into consideration berfore throwing out the welcome mat for the house warming party.
The "Stock the Bar Party" is gaining popularity as an alternative to it's predecessor, "The House Warming Party". Instead of inviting friends and family over who will invariably bring nickel and dime tchotchke's that will disrupt your newly harmonized decor, have your closest friends and family over on the condition that they bring their closest friends- be it Jim, Jack or Jose.
Having your closest 10 to 50 friends over (depending on how much you drink and the amount of storage in your bar) is a great way to acomplish a task, save some money, have a good time and keep your feng shui in order all at the same time.

    Redevelopment plans from CCDC

The Center City Development Corporation (CCDC) continues to with the grand vision for downtown San Diego. A plan that began in its embryotic stages in the late 1990's is getting closer to coming to fruition. The plan is for a grand esplanade along Harbor Drive that would be 1.2 miles in length and a quarter mile in width. Stretching along the waterfront, the vision plan includes trails for walking and jogging or relaxing in the grass. Southbound North Harbor Drive would have one lane eliminated to make room for the project.
Also included is a revitalization plan for the Broadway pier with new retail businesses and the addition of over 1,700 trees.

    Little Italy

Little Italy has led the charge for downtown redevelopment. A stroll through Little Italy should include a walk to the gorgeous San Diego harbor, eating at one of the quaint sidewalk cafes, treating man's best friend to a freshly baked treat at the dog bakery and experiencing the nightlife at one of Little Italy's hip new bars and lounges. With the new specialty stores, galleries and dining, it has been a true Italian renaissance for this San Diegan village.
